Whenever you are assigned as a manager in any team, what is the first activity that you will do ?
Well, the first step should be to create a Communication Plan. This plan will highlight the following:
- The mode of communication
- The frequency of communication
- The agenda of the various communications (e.g. 1-o-1′s and Career conversations)
It is a very good advise as it makes a manager more organized and he can work very well with the teams.
The team will also feel that the manager is really concerned about their career and is close to them by having regular meetings. This really “earns” respect for the Manager.
